Unified Under Hope's First Donation

WE DID IT!

On April 19, 2020, the Unified Under Hope (UUH) team completed its first donation of 1,000 N95 & KN95 masks to the Hurley Medical Center in Flint, Michigan! The UUH team was joined by Hurley Medical Center staff, Mayor Neeley of Flint, as well as Governor Whitmer's Regional Community Affairs Director. Everyone was so excited about the donation.

The UUH team was also joined by Redwood Medical Equipment. We would like to thank the Redwood Medical Equipment team—Adam Shiblaq and Ibrahim Awad—for all their PPE support. UUH could not have provided Hurley's frontline heroes with the masks they needed without your organization's PPE sourcing and on-hand inventory. Thank you for all your help.

Unified Under Hope decided to target Flint, Michigan first and foremost for several reasons. First, Flint has a relatively high number of COVID-19 cases. Second, Flint's population is disproportionately at higher risk from COVID-19. Lastly, Flint's poverty rates are among the highest in the United States. That is why UUH is confident our first donation will help make a difference!

But Flint and the Hurley Medical Center are just the beginning . . .

We hope you will join in our efforts as we seek to support various non-profit hospitals in Detroit, Michigan. It is going to take all of us, but UUH is committed to helping Michigan communities, especially those in lower socioeconomic areas. Together, we will help our frontline heroes obtain the equipment they need to support Michigan's COVID-19 patients, and unify our great State under HOPE.
